About:
There are a number of reasons that 121 lessons may suit you and your dog better than classes. For instance, not all dogs work well in a class setting as it may be too exciting for them or they may be nervous or reactive around other dogs or people. Maybe you have a specific problem you want help with, which would be better suited to a 121 lesson or maybe your work hours mean it’s not possible for you to attend regular classes.
Booking a 121 means its your lesson so we can cover whatever you like, whether basic pet obedience or a specific problem. Maybe you fancy learning pet dog gundog training or scent detection training or improving your dogs recall or lead walking but can’t make the group class sessions. Here are some of the things we can cover in a one-one.
- Walking nicely on a Lead
- Coming back when called
- Stop Jumping up
- Stop barking
- Toilet Training
- Stop Play biting
- Crate Training
- Scent Work
- Relationship Building
- Pet dog Gundog
All dogs attending one-one lessons must be fully vaccinated or titre tested and proof of this is required. Please check with me if you are not sure about your dogs vaccinations before you make the booking. We need at least a weeks gap between any vaccines and coming to the venue.
You can book a package which will include a certain number of lessons or you can book lessons on an adhoc basis, or just book an initial consultation before deciding how many lessons to book. See below for prices. If booking a package the lessons must be booked and paid for in advance to receive the discounted price and lessons must be taken within a certain period of time. See below.
121 lessons are held at my training venue in East Ogwell. Home visits are available but these cost more taking into account travel time and mileage costs.
Prices for one-one’s start from £30 per hour depending on how many lessons you book.
In Person Prices for 1:1 lessons held at the training venue on weekday daytimes.
one lesson £50 If you wish to book just an initial consultation or book and pay on an adhoc basis, each lesson will cost £50
Packages. To get the discounted price packages are booked and paid for in advance and must be taken within a certain period. For instance if booking the 5 lesson package all lessons must be taken within a 35 day period. This gives a bit of flexibility without leaving long gaps between lessons. I have found keeping the lessons closer together helps with continuity. However if this doesn’t work for you and you wish to book the lessons further apart, you can do this by booking on an adhoc/pay as you go basis but you will then pay the one lesson price.
Please note: If booking a package it is recommend lessons are between 5-10 days apart. Any lessons booked must be paid for in advance and please be aware, any lessons missed or cancelled are not refunded unless at least 7 days written notice is given and lessons cannot be transferred to a different day or time without at least 2 weeks notice. (I have bills to pay too!).
Help sheets for the first lesson are included in the price of the lesson, but help sheets for any lessons after this are charged at £5 per lesson. (It often takes me 20-30mins to do the help sheets so this is why I have to charge for them). You are of course, free to take notes during the lesson.
On Line consultations (via Zoom Call). These are useful for problems such as crate training, house training, barking, or any other problems which don’t require in person training to start with. If you have booked any one-one in person training or any of the group lessons such as puppy class and book a zoom, you get the zoom at a reduced fee of £25 for an hour. If you are booking the zoom without booking any in person training the zoom is £35 for an hour or £20 for half an hour.
If you wish to book a separation anxiety consultation please get in touch to discuss. All SA training is done remotely. See the section on Sep Anx on website for more info and prices.
You need to call to book your time slot before filling out the form and making a payment for one-one’s.
