About:
Pet Gundog training
An introduction to pet gundog basic foundation skills using reward based training. This course is just for fun and not aimed at people wishing to go on shoots. This course is all the fun without the gun and is for dogs over the age of 9mths.
This is an 8 week course and each lesson is one hour.
During the first 4 weeks we cover basics such as heelwork, recall, steadyness, focus, sitting and Staying. After successfully completing the basics, over the next 4 weeks we start to introduce hunting and retreiving.
All dogs must be fully vaccinated which means they must have received the Distemper, Hepatitis and Parvo-Virus vaccines within the last 3yrs. We accept titre tested dogs but proof of this is required.
Please make payment at the same time as booking the course.
Note: The training is held in a field. We do not have toilet facilities and the ground is uneven in places. The lessons go ahead even if it is raining so be prepared to dress for the weather.
This is an 8 week course. Get in touch for a chat if you are not sure if this is the course for you.
